Are you wondering about anything that you may have missed last month? Let’s take a look back at January 2024 and all of the events that have happened!

On 3 January, WAKEONE’s Kep1er made their 2-year debut anniversary. The nine girls were put together through a survival show, Girls Planet 999, that aired in 2021. Since debut, Kep1er has released 5 mini albums, as well as 1 Japanese mini and single album respectively. They are expected to end their promotions as Kep1er on 3 July 2024.

On 4 January, M.O.N.T reached 5 years since they debuted. The 3-member group is managed under FM Entertainment, short for Fly Music Entertainment. They’re from K-Pop’s 4th generation with 3 mini albums and 5 digital singles since debut. Their last comeback was in October 2020.

On 5 January, girl group H1-KEY made 2 years since their debut. They’re currently a 4-member group under Grandline Group and Sony Music Korea. In their promotions, H1-KEY released 2 singles, 2 mini albums, 1 single album, and a maxi single album.

Also on 5 January, boy group TRENDZ reached 2 years since their debut in 2022! They were formed towards the end of the 4th generation. TRENDZ currently has 2 mini albums and 3 single albums, as well as a special single, “Go Up,” released on 11 January 2024.

On 9 January, ONEUS debuted 5 years ago under RBW Entertainment. They originally debuted with 6 members until late October 2022. In their time since they debuted, they’ve released 10 mini albums, 1 full album, 4 Japanese mini albums, 1 Japanese full album, and many more.

Also on 9 January, VERIVERY reached their 5th anniversary. They are a 7-member group under Jellyfish Entertainment. As of right now, they have one member, their leader, enlisted in the military. VERIVERY recorded and released OSTs for Extraordinary You and ITAEWON CLASS.

On 10 January, we welcomed a new boy group, ALL(H)OURS! They are a 7-member group under EDEN ENTERTAINMENT. ALL(H)OURS debuted with a mini album called ALL OURS and their title track, “GOTCHA.”

On 13 January, Dreamcatcher debuted 7 years ago under Happyface Entertainment. They are a 7-member girl group with the concept of each member representing a nightmare or fear. In February of 2019, Happyface Entertainment renamed itself and is now called Dreamcatcher Company. Dreamcatcher initially debuted in the beginning of the third generation as MINX, and they redebuted as Dreamcatcher 3 years later.

On 15 January, Minhyuk of BTOB made his solo debut as HUTA 5 years ago. He was originally managed under CUBE Entertainment, but as of Novemember 2023, all BTOB members did not renew their contract, and it is unclear what company they’re managed under now. Since debut, HUTA released 2 full albums, 2 singles, and 2 OSTs.

On 16 January, GOT7 made their debut one decade ago! The 7-member group was originally under JYP Entertainment for 7 years before they left after the expiration of their contract. They are now managed under Warner Music Korea, but they identify as independent. GOT7 is currently inactive and pursuing personal projects due to 2 members enlisted in the military.

On 17 January, WayV debuted 5 years ago! They are the Chinese sub-unit of SM Entertainment with their own sub-label, Label V. Originally a 7-member group, WayV’s latest comeback, “On My Youth,” solidifies their future to continue promoting with 6 members.

Also on 17 January, DXMON made an addition to K-Pop’s 5th generation with their mini album, “Hyperspace.” 16 days prior, they released a pre-debut single titled “Burn Up.” DXMON is a 7-member group under SSQ Entertainment, which was previously named NV Entertainment.

On 18 January, Jinyoung of GOT7 made his solo dabut one year ago! As a solo artist and actor, he is managed under BH Entertainment. As promotions, he released a debut single, “Dive,” which he also released in Japanese, and a debut mini album. As of May 2023, Jinyoung is enlisted as an active duty soldier.

On 21 January, Cherry Bullet made 5 years since debut. They are a 7-member girl group under FNC Entertainment. Since debut, Cherry Bullet released 2 single albums, 2 digital singles, and 3 mini albums. Their latest title song is “P.O.W! (Play On the World).”

On 22 January, PLEDIS Entertainment welcomed a new boy group, TWS! They are a 6-member group, and their group name is shortened for “TWENTY FOUR SEVEN WITH US.” For their debut, they released a mini album titled “Sparkling Blue” with the title track, “plot twist.”

On 23 January, DABIN made his redebut. DABIN previously debuted in March 2017 as DPR LIVE. On 5 January, he released the single “Tic Tac?” with 2 songs. For his re-debut, he released an album, “Giggles,” with 13 tracks and the title song, “Shower Song.”

On 24 January, fromis_9 reached 6 years since debut. Their group name is an initialism for “From Idol School,” and they currently have 8 members. As of August 2021, they are managed by PLEDIS Entertainment. Since debut, fromis_9 released 5 mini albums, 3 single albums, and 1 studio album.

On 26 January, it was the first birthday of Moonbin since he passed away last year in April. For his birthday, his group members, ASTRO, and best friends, SEVENTEEN, have honored him through music and memories.

Also on 26 January, VCHA made their debut with “Girls of the Year” under JYP Entertainment. The global girl group was formed through the project show, America 2 Korea, and are taking the world by storm as they are currently TWICE’s opening act on tour.

On 30 January, 8TURN made their 1 year debut anniversary! They are an 8-member boy group under MNH Entertainment. 8TURN debuted with the mini album, “8TURNRISE.” Since debut, they’re released 3 mini albums and 1 OST.
